2. Re: Roam Transit 8X Lakeshore Express Lake Louise - June. Correction -the 8X, at least can be booked in advance - so getting spots at the village could well be very difficult. It's also $10 each way regular or $25 for the super pass, so a lot more expensive that $8 (plus booking fee) round trip for the shuttle.

If you're staying in Banff and don't want to drive the 45 minutes or so out to Lake Louise to catch the Parks Canada Shuttle, ROAM Transit has a bus that runs directly from Banff to Lake Louise (there's a stop in Lake Louise Village). It's route 8x, and it departs from the stop right outside of Banff High School (here on Google Maps).

Johnston Canyon Roam Transit
The Roam Transit Route 8x (Lake Louise Express) runs to Lake Louise from Banff. The Roam Transit Route 8S: Lake Louise Scenic also runs to Lake Louise during the summer months (stops include Johnston Canyon and Protection Mountain Campground). The cost is $10 per adult. Reservations are recommended; however, you can walk up to the fare boxes.
